Acer campestre Queen Elizabeth - Field Maple
A very upright cultivar of Acer campestre, this clone grows with tightly ascending branches. The head remains extremely compact making it very suitable for narrow streets and spaces. The three or five-lobed leaves are much larger and darker than the species, turning butter yellow autumn and followed by winged fruits. Will grow in almost all soils and tolerates hard paving, drought, and air pollution.
